Ayurvedic Yoga

Ayurveda is the science of life. It is a system for establishing health, preventing and curing disease by creating a lifestyle that following the rhythms and cycles of nature. Ayurveda employs natural means such as diet, herbs, oils, yoga, breathing practices, and meditation to enable us to live in balance with our innate constitution.

As a yoga teacher I have studied and practiced the rudiments of Ayurveda for many years. I wanted to delve deeper in to the science of it and have completed my training as an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist (AYS) recognized by the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA). In this role I am certified to guide clients to make lifestyle choices that support healthy living and healing.

This includes diet, herbs, lifestyle, and specific yoga and meditation practices. During a consultation I take a detailed evaluation that includes lifestyle, diet, career, relationship and medical issues. Clients share only information they are comfortable giving. The consultation will enable you to understand your health issues and factors that added to them.

This will help you understand the basic principals of Ayurveda and how they relate to your life. Based on this I give recommendations for changes and additions to diet, exercise and daily regime appropriate to your constitution that will bring relief of symptoms and gradually bring the body and mind back to balance.

Each session includes a 45-minute consultation and a 15-minute follow-up phone call. The fee for a one hour consultation $65.
